Sydney’s Sweet Lab was born from a passion for feeding the masses, perseverance with the help of our Holy Father, and the fact that everything goes down smoother with a spoonful of sugar.

Baking has always been a part of my life. Some of my best memories are of the kitchen in a small apartment: beckoning smells, my mother singing, the countertops covered in beautiful treats. By age eight I was honing my skills to help keep the lights on, selling baked goods door-to-door. The basket I carried held my dreams, and God carried me in turn.

Although my mother did not claim me, I inherited three gifts: a love for music, a talent for baking, and a foolhardy determination. From Alice In Wonderland teacakes to “mookies,” my childhood was punctuated with unique creations—and the hope that maybe one day, I'd make something that could change everything.

Nowadays, my small kitchen is all about going above and beyond, because I've learned that with God, all things are possible. It’s a work in progress. But every treat has a backstory here. Every bite is personal. And all things are made with love.
